Appearance

Fold comes in three colour palettes, each with a light and a dark variant. Open Settings from the bottom of the sidebar to change them.

Palettes

• Paper — lighter and cooler, almost white. This is the default.
• Parchment — warm off-white with a brown accent.
• Stone — greyscale with a faint blue-green cast.

Each is shown as a small swatch of the palette's own colours, so you can see what you are choosing before you choose it.

You cannot create your own palette. Each one is a matched pair of light and dark colours that have been checked for legibility, which a free-form colour picker could not guarantee.

Light and dark

Separate from the palette, and set to System by default — Fold follows whatever your phone or computer is set to, and changes with it. Choose Light or Dark to pin it instead.

These settings stay on this device

Your palette and mode are stored in this browser, not on your CalDAV server. There is no standard place on a server to keep "which colours do I like", and Fold does not invent one — the server holds your lists and todos and nothing else.

That means each device keeps its own choice. A phone you use at night can sit in Dark while your desktop stays in Light.

Signing out does not reset it, and neither does clearing your todos. Only clearing your browser's site data will.
